Miracle Ranch is a Christian summer camp features horses and horsemanship classes, plus outdoor activities like archery, field sports, boating, arts & crafts, and water sports.
"At Island Lake, kids get time away from cell phones, computers and all the noise of this world. They get a chance to be independent from parents, to bond with kids from different backgrounds and to spend time with God."

Parent Information

Cabin Assignments
All cabin assignments are made before campers arrive.  For a camper to be assigned to the same cabin as a friend, you and your friend(s) (pick two cabin mates, within two consecutive grades) must have already sent in your requests.

Staff
Our staff will be eagerly awaiting campers’ arrival at camp. Our counselors are selected based on their love for kids, Christian commitment, and maturity.

2012 Check-in and Check-outTimes
Any special health needs or medications should be given to the Health Supervisor during check-in.

Junior camp check-in begins at 3 pm on Sunday. Please arrive between 3 and 4pm Sunday afternoon. Check-out is Friday at 9am.

Middle School camp check-in begins at 3pm on Sunday. Please arrive between 3 and 4pm Sunday afternoon. Check-out is Saturday at 9am.

Horsemanship Extravaganza check-in begins at 3pm on Sunday. Please arrive between 3 and 4pm on Sunday afternoon. Check-out is Friday at 7pm.

Swim Check
Camper swim checks take place Sunday after the camper check-in. The test consists of a short swim and a brief session of treading water in our swim area under the supervision of our waterfront staff. Please be prepared for this and have the camper’s swimwear accessible.

Family Day at the Ranch
Parents and family are invited to stay for our old-fashioned barbecue and Western Show right after check-in. The cost is $5 per person or $15 per family for dinner. This is a great opportunity to get a taste of what your camper will experience all week long. Family day ends and camp begins at 6:30 p.m.

Guests
Parents are encouraged to meet our staff and tour the camp during check-in and on Saturday morning. During the week we ask that parents not visit, nor encourage campers to call home. Campers may not have guests during the week.

Lost and Found
Please label all belongings with camper’s name and phone number. If the camper leaves something behind, call with a detailed description of the item and the week of camp attended. You will be asked to provide the postage required to return the item.

Camper Spending Money

We use a “bank” system so campers do not need to keep track of cash during the week. You may send store deposits with your camp fee payments, call our office at least two weeks before your camp session or deposit spending money in your camper’s store account when you check in on the first day of camp. Any money not spent will be refunded in cash to the camper on Saturday morning at breakfast.

Spending money may be used for the following:

  • Trail rides: $20 for a one-hour ride (subject to availability)
  • Camp clothing and merchandise (stickers, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc.):  $1 to $40
  • Snacks: $0.25 to $3.50
  • Photos will be available to view on the CRISTA Camps Facebook page
