| CRISTA Camps will work with you to choose classes and create a program that best meets the needs of your students. Public and private schools are welcome. Schools must provide their own counselors and/or chaperones.

2006-07 Classes
- Forestry is taught in three sections: fallen log habitat study, tree identification and hands-on analysis of the four layers of the forest.
- Pond Study is a camper favorite. Campers will study pond life by catching creatures for study or by using pond scopes.
- Bird Identification Campers watch birds in their native habitats and learn about them through firsthand observation.
- Owl Pellet Study A science lab investigation through which campers learn about the food chain and the habits of birds of prey.
- Compassing and Orienteering These classes can be taught at three different levels: compass basics for campers with little or no experience, navigation for campers who are ready to interact with a map, and orienteering for campers who are ready for a challenge course.
- Survival 1 & 2 Campers learn how to stay alive in the woods, including how to build shelters and start fires.

Both Island Lake and Miracle Ranch are situated between the Puget Sound and the Hood Canal. There are numerous beaches to explore in the area; your group may enjoy taking advantage of area attractions as part of your program. While beaches and the following attractions are not included within CRISTA Camps’ programs, they may enhance your school’s outdoor education experience on the way to or after leaving camp.
