2008 Spring Camps
Mother & Daughter Weekend FULL
Saddle up for an incredible weekend of riding, fun, friends and good food! Plan on plenty of adventures--on and off your horse--that will challenge you personally, spiritually and physically. Your registration includes five meals, all horsemanship and ranch activities, insurance and two nights' lodging.
There are 250 acres for you and your horse to explore, and you'll be learning from and riding with some of the best wranglers around. It's wagonloads of fun and action from Friday evening right through Sunday noon. Families and friends can come for the legendary Chuckwagon Inn Sunday Brunch, then watch as you show what you've learned in the Ranch's covered arena. The cost for brunch is $10 for adults and $7 for children. Campers eat free.

Learn the basics of Western horsemanship in our arena and on the trail. You'll learn horse care, grooming, saddling, horse science, vaulting (gymnastics on horseback) and more.

You'll learn proper hand and body position, posting, two-point or balanced position, identifying diagonals, lengthening and shortening the stride, and working over ground poles as you begin jumping. Look for dates in fall, 2008. |

Pack & Trail Weekend (boys, grades 3-12) |

Learn about the exciting life of the cowboy as you pack your bags and hit the trails. In this action-packed weekend, you will experience dutch-oven cooking and extensive trail riding, and you'll learn the art of balancing and packing your bags for your success and your horse's. Bring a good appetite and lots of energy! Look for dates in fall, 2008.

| You and your horse become partners as you learn to communicate with your horse - instead of just being a passenger. Besides feeding, catching, grooming, bridling and saddling your horse, our wranglers teach you horse theory and horse psychology. Look for dates in fall, 2008. |
