Dear Applicant:
CRISTA Camps consists of two exciting camps: Island Lake and Miracle Ranch. Our purpose is to introduce youth and adults to Jesus Christ, to help them grow in their relationship with Him, and to affirm the Bible as their standard for living. Christian values are communicated through role-modeling, daily Bible studies, and fireside talks. Values are shared in a warm, caring atmosphere that reflects Christ's love in action. Therefore we choose our summer staff on the basis of their personal commitment to Christ, genuine love for people, and willingness to serve (applicants must be high school graduates). Training includes practical ways to lead group activities that match the interests and abilities of each camper. Our program avoids individual competition and pressure to achieve; we stress teamwork and involvement so that every camper may leave with a fresh sense of personal achievement and accomplishment.
Island Lake is the only camp in America that features a trailbike instruction program! The program teaches more than 1,500 kids each summer to ride motorcycles. Island Lake Camp is located on 133 wooded acres nestled next to a 25-acre freshwater lake. The summer program includes a 10,000 square-foot skate park, four different paintball courses, a high-adventure ropes course, the blob, night games, basketball, sand volleyball, archery, marksmanship, boating, and canoeing. What makes Island Lake Camp unique is its culture. The atmosphere and the excitement of Christ touching lives will draw you back year after year. The relationships built during the summer will last a lifetime!
Miracle Ranch has a nationally recognized horsemanship instruction program! Campers enjoy six days of action at the Ranch and can choose from Western, English or Trailride horsemanship classes. Our program staff offers a full spectrum of other great summer activities as well. In fact, you don't have to be a horse expert at the Ranch. We also need staff to facilitate golf, paintball, marksmanship, archery, drama, camp video, vaulting, canoeing, rowboats, swimming, sailboards, arts and crafts, rocketry, basketball, volleyball, and field sports. The toughest thing about the Ranch is deciding what to do next! Investing our lives in other people is intentional.
Summer staff selection begins in January, but applications are accepted until all positions are filled. Most staff positions require the applicant to have completed at least one year of college or have equivalent experience. To complete an application:
- Fill out the following online application form and submit.
- Download and print the Applicant Signature page plus one copy of the Pastor/Youth Leader Reference form and two copies of the Teacher/Employer Reference form.
- Applicant Signature form – sign and send to Crista Camps.
- Request three individuals to complete and send Reference form to Crista Camps.
Remember, the sooner we receive your application the better the chance of a position being available for you. Do not let the excitement Island Lake and Miracle Ranch pass you by--become part of our team!
Thank you for your interest in CRISTA Camps.
Sincerely,
